Stop trying to be perfect parents, just be real ones

Stop trying to be perfect parents, just be real ones

Having a child is life altering, you feel responsible for everything that happens to your child, the sound of his laughter becomes your greatest joy and even his yawn becomes the highlight of your day.
Watching them grow up and approach full bloom is so beautiful it takes your breath away and at the same time it hurts. The empathy you feel as your children try to figure out their lives and learn hard lessons in the process, the questioning weather you’ve done enough, taught enough, supported enough, adds another dimension to it.
Teaching your children moral values affects how they see the world, as a parent it is your duty to teach morals to help transform them into functional members of the society. Teach them one at a time so they have the proper chance to learn the importance of each facet of the society.
If you try to teach your children good morals while exhibiting less than exemplary morals yourself you send mixed and confusing message to your children, it is especially important to show morality in your dealings with your children and with other people.
If you make a promise follow through, show compassion by taking time to listen, break up fights in a fair and even manner. Your children will learn a desirable way to deal with others.
