Getting naked in the kids presence, when do you teach privacy?

Getting naked in the kids presence, when do you teach privacy?

Yea, they are kids. Getting naked for some feels odd and for others it’s absolutely normal. In as much as it isn’t using okay working around naked at home it’s okay to get naked in the kids presence, bathing with your kids creates a bond being naked around the kids permits them develop confidence in their body. As a mother being overtly discreet of your body most especially your girls may have them thinking something is wrong with your body or theirs.
Now as these kids grow older you get more discreet not because you are uncomfortable but because they may be.
As children age they certainly develop their own sense of modesty around others.
Teaching privacy is the first step to arming kids with the defense they need to prevent sexual abuse. It teaches them respect for bodies and respect for individuals.
They should be made to understand that there are certain times people need privacy. Now teaching privacy is a process not a single talk you should have with your kids.
From age five and above teach them to honor close doors, they should knock and wait for affirmation before entering. Enforcing this rules would go a long way at grandma’s house , a friends house etc
Teach them, there are certain things we don’t do in front of others example having a bath. Let them know the part of their body swimsuit covers is private.
They may not understand the reason behind it but for the time being they would learn to accept it.
A good way to teach children how to honor their body is to teach modesty
