What have you been eating?

What have you been eating?

You’ve probably heard the saying”you are what you eat”well this is entirely true
The other day in new heaven market, Enugu. I was looking for something healthier to sweeten my home made zobo drink since I was officially done with sodas (minerals). I walked into a store highly stocked with healthy living foods. A woman was shopping, she looked beautiful in every sense, slender, her skin glowed, her hair clipped into a pony looked healthy. I would say she was in her early forties.
Turning away from that distraction, I told the seller what I wanted, she said for a healthier option I should blend a lots of dates to sweeten my zobo or blend a lot of pineapples. Wooow! So much for drinking healthy. “ long process” I thought. I  told her not to worry I would stick to my jolly juice, “ just give me too abeg, pineapple flavor and Coca-Cola flavor” the beautiful woman turned, she said “why don’t you go buy the Coca-Cola drink it’s self, what’s the difference?”
I thought making zobo drink was a healthier option I never knew adding those sugar packed artificial sweeteners was ruining it entirely, we got talking.
She said 15years ago she decided to start eating healthy foods always, she stayed away entirely from processed sugar and ate more of living foods, four mornings in a week she blends an apple, a beetroot, and a Carrot into a smoothie for her consumption and workout only on Saturdays.
Fifteen years! I was curious. I asked her how old she was and she said fifty six. Good gracious! She sure doesn’t look it. She joined the healthy train at 41 and look how healthy she is. It was totally worth it.
I bet a lot of ladies would pay a fortune in a cosmetic store to get such glow.
How old are you? Have you taken your time to imagine how strong and healthy you’d look in few years if you drop the junks and start eating healthy foods now?
Our body is made up of cells , every one hundred days our red blood cells are replaced, every five to 10days the lining of our gastrointestinal tracts is replaced with new cells and every thirty days our skin is replaced with new cells as well. In some areas in our body the process is even faster. Our cells needs food to regenerate, they are totally dependent on what we eat, now you can understand why it’s so important to feed your body with living food that contains the right nutrients
What you don’t know about processed food may be killing you. Could be hard, but it’s needful  to stay away from processed foods. They cause diabetes, obesity, decreased immune system, yeast problem and many more.
Slow down with your sugar intake. Many people resist the urge to add sugar to their food yet they are unaware of the amount of sugar they consume from processed food.
Sometimes looking at a nutritional label doesn’t help, instead of sugar, manufacturers use terms like corn syrup, dextrose, or glucose. What you are consuming is SUGAR.
Another dead food is white flour. Dr Don Colbert a nutritionist says there is an experiment you need to try, take a slice of white bread place it in a small bowl and pour water on it, almost instantly it becomes paste, it is so much like a paste you may have to be able to hang a wall paper with it! Do you realize that, that piece of white bread may be doing the same to your colon? The paste you are eating may gum up your colon causing contispation. White bread isn’t healthy
Why don’t u take a turn eat healthy foods, fruits, vegetables nuts e.t.c make your own smoothies. Keep track of what u eat and eat for nutrition.
